
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez; September 2nd, 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actor as well as film producer. She began her career in Mexico by playing the lead in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood with roles in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal of Frida Kahlo painting artist in Frida (2002) the biographical feature she created and won her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6She also received the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6. Also, she was awarded her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films her films, and also starred in action-oriented pictures Once Upon a Time in Mexico in the years following.
