Katheryn Winnick
Katheryn Winnick is a Canadian actress, producer and director. She starred on the critically-acclaimed Emmy-winning TV show Vikings which was produced by MGM, The History Channel, and won a number of accolades. Winnick is also the director for the pilot episode for Vikings in the year 2020. Entertainment Weekly stated that her role was "Lagertha might be the most thrilling feminist on screen." Her character has won numerous accolades in her portrayal of the fierce shieldmaiden. These include The Women's Image Network Award for the best Actress in a Drama Series for the year 2018, the Critic's Choice Award as the top Supporting Actress and the Canadian Screen Award for the Most Outstanding Performance of the Lead Dramatic Actress for 2014, and the Women's Image Network Award for the top Actress for a TV Drama Series for the years 2015 and 2016 along with the Golden Maple Award for the Best Actress for on a TV Series. Alongside these highly coveted nominations, Katheryn was awarded the Serendipity Film's Excellence Award at the Banff World Media Festival in 2015.
