Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born into an ethnically mixed family. She has a mother who is English while her father is Nigerian. She grew up in the south of a London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. She studied acting in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While at the academy, she performed in several stage productions such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. In the years since, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakthrough came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. After this success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. Also, the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her debut in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired at The CW for only two episodes before being ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. After appearing on the show for the initial two seasons it was reported in late May 2013 that she would leave the show after her appearance on the premiere episode of the third season. Between 2014 and the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe and her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. Together, they worked in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a big family in Hamilton, Ontario. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty as well as four older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball fields because the four brothers who were athletic played baseball, hockey, and both in the summer and winter. Ashley was not a walker, but she danced. At age two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dance when she was just a few years old. Until she graduated from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical and hip hop. All of the big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the title "top Soloist".
