Ruth Roman died Thursday, aged 75 at her Laguna Beach home. Ruth Roman was a Hollywood screen actress who appeared in Hollywood in the 1950s thanks to her combination of beauty and sexuality. The actress died peacefully in her sleep, according to her son Richard Hall. Warner Brothers offered her nine leading roles in just two years after her breakthrough character in Stanley Kramer's "Champion The Champion,' a novelized 1949 version of the story by Ring Lardner of a maniacal fighter short story. On one occasion, she leapt from collaborating with Bette Davis in "Beyond The Forest'' and then starring alongside Milton Berle in ''Always Leave Them Laughing.'' After the conclusion of ''Strangers on a Train which starred Robert Walker, she was invited to appear in ''Tomorrow's Another Day'' alongside Steve Cochran.
