McKayla Rose Maroney is a retired American artistic gymnast and singer. She won the silver and gold medals at the vault competitions for both the American gymnastic team and The Fierce Five in the Summer Olympics in 2012. Her early life. McKayla Rose Maroney is the daughter of Erin Maroney and Mike Maroney. (died 2019.) McKayla is of Irish Catholic ancestry.
